i don’t know if it’s completely productive to have trials of the captain and his men, as the ship is sinking… but don’t we at least need learn from our mistakes? And doesn’t that start with frank discussions about how we got lots of gaping holes in our ship? “Somebody”? Really? You don’t know who is to blame for this mess? How about deregulation of the banking system? How about a virtually unregulated housing market?
“We don’t know.” That’s perfect. F-in putz. This is exactly the kind of moron that makes me furious with washington. They’re never gonna get things right. CEOs own this freaking country.
And yes, all that shite about the money markets being stopped for fear of collapse definitely makes me have to change my shorts.
